COMBINED SHIP BOILER WITH ADDITIONAL FIREBOX.

The SAACKE CMB product range combines exhaust gas and oil firing in a compact system, efficiently covering varying steam requirements. The 2-in-1 design eliminates the need for additional boiler systems on board without compromising on performance, operational safety, or emissions.

All models can be flexibly adapted to different ship types and fuels, making them ideal for modern dual-fuel concepts and use in demanding maritime conditions.

CMB-VF-LONOX.

Power range: up to 18 t/h (up to 13 t/h LONOX)

Design pressure: up to 1.0 MPa

The CMB-VF-LONOX is a vertically oriented combination marine boiler that offers a low-emission 2-in-1 solution for varying steam requirements – ideal for reducing boiler systems on board by up to 50% without any loss of performance. The space- and resource-saving design replaces a complete auxiliary boiler system. Thanks to its high adaptability, the boiler is suitable for almost all types of ships, including LNG carriers. The fully automatic control system allows master-slave-operation with a second auxiliary boiler. In the LONOX version, it is also available with flue gas recirculation, thus meeting the latest ultra-low NOx standards.

  • Compact 2-in-1 solution to reduce the number of boilers
  • Vertical design for varying steam requirements
  • Fully automated control for master-slave operation
  • Suitable for dual-fuel applications
  • Optional flue gas recirculation for lowest NOₓ emissions

CMB-VS.

Performance range: Oil-fired range up to 5 t/h, flue gas range as required
Design pressure: up to 1.2 MPa

The CMB-VS is a vertically aligned combination marine boiler that is primarily operated with the flue gas from the propulsion engine. The oil-fired range reliably covers additional steam requirements.

The boiler is optimally matched to the exhaust gas values of marine diesel engines and offers maximum flexibility in the event of fluctuating steam demand. The curved cover plate ensures high stability against ship vibrations and reduces deposits in the upper combustion chamber area – for long-term protection against overheating.

  • Combined use of exhaust gas and oil firing
  • Flexible for fluctuating steam demand
  • Robust construction for high operational reliability
  • Protection against overheating thanks to innovative cover plate design
  • Efficient use of engine exhaust gases for steam generation

CMB-HF.

Power range Oil-fired range up to 10 t/h
Performance range Flue gas range as required
Design pressure up to 1.2 MPa

The CMB-HF is a horizontally aligned combination marine boiler that is operated with the flue gas from the drive engine. When steam demand increases, the oil-fired range provides a reliable additional supply. The rear wall chamber offers access to the flue gas pipes and combustion chamber via special hatches, thus enabling easy cleaning and maintenance. The flue gas section is tailored to the exhaust gas parameters of diesel engines and individual steam demand.

  • Horizontal combination marine boiler
  • Easy to maintain thanks to hatches in the rear chamber
  • Flexible steam demand through combined operation with oil and flue gas
