The requirements for boiler systems on oil and product tankers are high: in addition to a reliable supply of heating systems for cargo, inert gas generation, or auxiliary power supply, the systems must guarantee maximum operational safety under changing environmental conditions. SAACKE supplies robust and energy-efficient boiler solutions for this purpose, which are individually adapted to the type of ship, the intended use, and the fuels used.

The consistent use of waste heat boilers on main and auxiliary engines allows exhaust gas energy to be recovered efficiently. At the same time, the boilers offer maximum fuel flexibility: in addition to HFO and MDO, HVO and gaseous fuels such as LNG or boil-off gas (BOG) can also be efficiently utilized. This not only increases economic efficiency, but also significantly reduces the ecological footprint of ship operations.

Another advantage is that all boiler systems are prepared for emission-free port operations with shore power connection (cold ironing/alternative maritime power) and can be easily integrated into existing ships as a retrofit. SAACKE boiler systems combine high-quality components with sophisticated control technology to enable trouble-free operation while minimizing maintenance requirements. Remote monitoring and fully automated operation offer additional safety – especially on long routes with limited personnel availability.
