Greater efficiency. Lower emissions. With CFD simulations.
Every combustion process is different – and every inefficiency costs energy, money and generates unnecessary emissions. Ombustion uses CFD simulations to precisely analyse flows, temperature distributions and reactions in your plants. The result: informed decisions, realistic forecasts and tailor-made optimisation concepts for more efficient and climate-friendly plant operation.
Technical excellence for your combustion.
Ombustion is the consulting unit of the SAACKE Group and specialises in the analysis and optimisation of thermal processes. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a central component of our work. We combine in-depth engineering knowledge with state-of-the-art simulation technology – for efficient, safe and future-oriented combustion plants.
Digital combustion optimisation for industrial plants
Numerical fluid mechanics for mapping the flow and chemical reactions (combustion calculation).
This is based on the Navier-Stokes equations, which have been used to describe flows mathematically for 200 years. Numerical methods can be used to approximate the solutions to these equations. Thanks to the exponential development of computing power in recent years, it is now possible to calculate flows and resolve them graphically using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). CFD therefore allows predictions to be made about the behaviour of flowing media (gas, liquid, dust). Often combined with:
- simultaneous flow of heat,
- phase changes (e.g. melting, freezing, boiling),
- chemical reactions (combustion),
- mechanical movements (e.g. of pistons, fans).
